We've been building property for a good few years now and have been helping people release equity in their land to help them move up the property ladder, pay off their mortgages and in some cases, retire. We're a real company comprised of real people. We're not hard salesmen, we simply see opportunities where others perhaps don't.

DIRECTOR
GARY WAGHORN
Gary is a founding Director of One Oak Development. Previously, Gary worked as Land Acquisition and Project Manager for Chameleon Design & Development of Surrey. He helped to source, design and deliver numerous residential schemes across the South East.
Gary has an in-depth knowledge of the planning process and has a clear strategy in place for dealing with each Council. He also has an insightful knowledge in arranging finance and structuring debt specifically for each scheme.

PHILLIP RUSSELL
FRICS BSc Honours Construction Economics
Phillip has been in the development/construction industry for over 40 years. Building and selling his first business to Guy Hands at Terra Firma private equity fund, he went on to become the Managing Director of Mapeley the £1.5bn property/service business financed by the global Soros/Fortress investment funds.
More recently he was the Managing Director of Morrison's the £1bn turnover construction/maintenance business and a Director of Costain's the fully listed Civil Engineering business.
DESIGN DIRECTOR
simon lovell
Simon is unique in combining the skills of an award winning architect with the commercial requirements of integrating creative design within a development appraisal. For 20 years Simon was a senior Director within the pioneering London based architectural practice of S&P famed for bringing commerciality through design flair to the leisure industry. Since 2014 Simon has worked closely with One Oak on all their most successful developments and more recently became a Director of the organisation. The combining of good design with commercial success is still the major challenge within UK property development.
CONSTRUCTION DIRECTOR
marek vaclavik
Marek was born in the Czech republic and for many years worked with the Czech company RD Rymarov developing one of Europe’s largest timber frame house builders providing over 20000 houses throughout Europe. 12 years ago Marek moved to the UK to work in the UK timber frame industry specialising in timber frame installation for the likes of major UK companies such as Scotframe and Roe. Most recently Marek has formed his own business Wellbuild to bring the innovative RD Rymarov timber house system to the UK and partnered with us to develop this unique form of new housing construction.
ARCHITECT, ENGINEER & SURVEYOR
ROSS BOWDITCH
Ross, through his company RB Design, offers a complete architectural design service from the initial survey, through design, planning and final building regulation stages, incorporating all necessary structural design as required. In addition with full party wall award services if necessary. Ross has designed a variety of buildings including houses, flats and associated facilities. He specialises in extensions, renovations and loft conversions and was recently nominated for the best design award at the LABC awards. Ross has a sharp eye for design and a good knowledge of the planning and building control guidelines and rules.
LAND ACQUISITION EXECUTIVE
RYAN O'BYRNE
Ryan joined the One Oak team earlier in 2017 and is currently undergoing our land acquisition training program.
Coming from a building background, Ryan spent a lot of time on the road travelling to a variety of jobs across the South East and developed an intuitive eye for spotting land with potential.
Based in Redhill, Ryan's portfolio is steadily increasing whilst he scours the Surrey countryside.
PROJECT MANAGER
Nigel Scarffe MIMechE R(Aux)AF
Nigel served for 24 years as an Aerosystems Engineer Officer in the Royal Air Force. In 2016, having completed a full refurbishment and extension of his own home, he set up Family Tree Property Ltd which bought, refurbished, and let its first property later that year. In late 2017 an opportunity arose to develop two new-build 4-bedroom houses in Oxfordshire. He successfully Project Managed the building of these houses from land purchase and pre-planning design through to successful sale.
ian liston
Ian has worked with the One Oak founding Directors for almost 20 years so built a deep understanding of the property development business. His years in customer service led businesses together with his expertise in technology have led to a new approach to site finding. This is based on technology mapping combined with the old skills of personal communication with land owners.
